PSA integration means your security awareness platform talks to the professional services automation tool your MSP already runs clients from — ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA, Syncro or Datto Autotask. Done well, new clients bill automatically, phishing results and course completions land as tickets or activity, and nobody exports CSVs at the end of the month. Done without it, awareness training quietly becomes the product with the most manual overhead per client.
The honest picture from our July 2026 comparison of eight platforms: native PSA billing sync is rare. Huntress SAT has it for ConnectWise, Autotask and HaloPSA. CyberHoot covers Syncro. Cyber Aware connects through Zapier and a direct API. The rest of the market shows no confirmed PSA integration in public documentation.
TL;DR
- Native PSA billing sync: Huntress SAT (ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA) and CyberHoot (Syncro, plus Gradient billing).
- Cyber Aware integrates via Zapier and a direct API — enough to bill clients and sync results automatically, without a native connector.
- KnowBe4 has no native PSA integration we could find; its APIs are tier-gated.
- uSecure, Breach Secure Now, Hornetsecurity and Terranova show no confirmed PSA or general API integration in public docs.
- Rank on the integration you actually run: billing sync beats ticket sync for recurring revenue.
Ranking: PSA integration compared
| Rank | Platform | PSA integration | What it syncs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Huntress SAT | ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA (native) | Billing information for SAT and SIEM, per its changelog |
| 2 | Cyber Aware | Zapier + direct API | Campaign results as tickets, completions as activity, new clients as billing lines |
| 3 | CyberHoot | Syncro (native), Gradient billing | Client sync and billing; API is partner-restricted |
| 4 | KnowBe4 | None found; webhooks + tier-gated APIs | Provisioning via Entra/AD/Google; no native PSA connection |
| — | uSecure | None confirmed | Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace sync only |
| — | Breach Secure Now | None confirmed | M365/Google SSO and Teams app |
| — | Hornetsecurity | None confirmed | Deep M365 integration; API/PSA not confirmed |
| — | Terranova Security | None confirmed | SSO/SCIM via Okta, JumpCloud, Azure AD |

The platforms in detail
Huntress SAT — native billing sync
Huntress pushed billing information for its Security Awareness Training and SIEM products directly into ConnectWise, Autotask and its API, per its official changelog. If your stack is Huntress and your PSA is one of those three, seat counts and charges reconcile without touching a spreadsheet. There is no Zapier route or general API story — the integration is native and specific.
Cyber Aware — Zapier and API
Cyber Aware connects through Zapier and a direct API rather than a native PSA connector, which trades one-click setup for breadth: any PSA with a Zapier presence works. The pattern most MSPs run: campaign results as tickets, course completions as activity, new clients as billing lines in Autotask in under an hour. Because it is Zapier and API, the same flows reach ConnectWise, HaloPSA or anything else you run — and the platform itself is white-label with per-seat, no-minimum pricing.
CyberHoot — Syncro native
CyberHoot documents a SyncroMSP integration for its Autopilot platform plus a no-cost Gradient MSP billing integration. If you run Syncro, it is a clean, purpose-built fit. Its general API access is partner-restricted, so beyond Syncro and Gradient the integration story narrows.
KnowBe4 — powerful but not PSA-native
KnowBe4 integrates deeply with Entra ID, Active Directory and Google for provisioning, exposes webhooks, and has APIs — but they are tier-gated, and we found no native ConnectWise/Autotask/HaloPSA integration in its public documentation. Enterprise KnowBe4 deployments solve PSA sync with custom integration work; small MSPs on lower tiers generally cannot.
The rest of the market
uSecure, Breach Secure Now, Hornetsecurity and Terranova Security all sync identities (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SSO/SCIM) but show no confirmed PSA, Zapier or general API integration in the public materials we checked. If a vendor promises a connector, ask to see it working in a trial before you sign.
What to actually check before buying
- Billing first. The integration that saves the most time is the one that bills clients automatically per seat — ask specifically what billing fields sync and when.
- Ticket quality. A phishing campaign that creates one ticket per click floods your PSA; look for aggregated results.
- Who maintains it. A native connector the vendor maintains beats a community Zapier template you inherit.
- Seat minimums still apply. An integration does not fix pricing shape — a platform with a 50-seat minimum is still a poor fit for your 15-seat clients.
FAQ
What does PSA stand for in this context? Professional services automation — the platform MSPs run their business on: ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA, Syncro. PSA integration means training results, seat counts or billing lines flow between the awareness platform and that system automatically.
Which security awareness platforms have native PSA billing sync? As of July 2026: Huntress SAT for ConnectWise, Autotask and HaloPSA, and CyberHoot for Syncro (plus Gradient billing). Cyber Aware reaches the same outcomes through Zapier and its direct API.
Does Cyber Aware integrate with ConnectWise or Autotask? Through Zapier and its API, yes — including Autotask flows documented in our guide, where campaign results become tickets and new clients become billing lines. There is no native built-in connector; the Zapier/API route is the supported path.
Why does PSA integration matter for margin? Every manual CSV export per client per month is margin leaked to admin. A working integration turns awareness training from a break-even add-on into genuinely recurring revenue.
