For MSPs and small IT teams, the integration question decides more than any feature list: a training platform that cannot push results into the PSA, the CRM or the ticketing system becomes another dashboard somebody has to copy numbers out of by hand. Zapier is the lowest-friction way to make those connections, but the platforms differ sharply in how native their Zapier presence is — some expose every platform event as a trigger, others offer nothing on Zapier at all and hand you an API key instead. Here is the 2026 ranking on Zapier depth, plus what each platform does when Zapier is not the answer.
How we ranked
Three criteria, in order: whether the platform has a live, verifiable Zapier app listing; how much of the platform is exposed as Zapier triggers and actions (a handful of endpoints versus every primitive); and what the fallback is for teams that outgrow no-code automation — webhooks, a documented API, or nothing.
The ranking
| Rank | Platform | Zapier depth | Fallback for teams that outgrow Zapier |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cyber Aware | Native app listing; every platform primitive as trigger or action; 9 triggers, template library | Full REST API + webhooks |
| 2 | KnowBe4 | No public Zapier listing verified at time of writing; third-party workflow support via n8n | REST API (tier-gated) |
| 3 | uSecure | Quote-based platform; API/integration depth not published on pricing page | Contact vendor |
| 4 | Huntress SAT | Managed service; automation handled by Huntress itself | Monthly reports and summaries |
1. Cyber Aware
Cyber Aware keeps a public app listing at zapier.com/apps/cyber-aware/integrations, and the depth is the differentiator: the platform exposes every primitive as a Zapier trigger or action rather than a curated handful. Nine triggers fire instantly — phishing campaign completed, learner completed a course, new learner, new client, new user, client type changed, health check completed, framework action completed, new lead captured. The listing also ships a template library of copy-and-paste Zaps: auto-create a ConnectWise ticket when a phishing campaign wraps, log course completions in your PSA as ticket activity, auto-billing lines in Autotask or Xero when a new client is provisioned, new HubSpot or Salesforce contacts from gap-assessment leads.
Pairings already exist for the tools MSPs actually run — Salesforce, Pipedrive, HubSpot, Airtable, Asana, ActiveCampaign, Microsoft Excel — and Cyber Aware's own integrations page documents the same triggers against webhooks, plus native Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace directory sync for identity. The full REST API covers everything Zapier does not, which matters once a 100-client book outgrows per-Zap pricing.
In practice this is how the automation loop closes itself: training completions and phishing simulation results flow into the PSA without an admin exporting anything, and human risk reporting scores sync into the CRM as account fields.
2. KnowBe4
KnowBe4 — the category's largest vendor — did not have a verifiable public Zapier listing at the time of writing: the app page on Zapier's directory did not resolve in our checks. Its workflow coverage comes through other routes. The KnowBe4 REST API is documented and widely used, and automation platform n8n ships a native KnowBe4 integration at n8n.io/integrations/knowbe4 — a viable path for teams already running n8n.
The catch for SMB buyers is tiering: API access on KnowBe4 is limited to its higher plans, which means the automation tier and the affordable tier are not the same tier. A firm that buys the entry plan and later wants training data flowing into a PSA may find the API locked behind an upgrade — a cost trap the sticker price never mentions.
3. uSecure
uSecure's published pricing page covers its training, phishing, policy and breach modules in detail but does not advertise a Zapier listing or publish API documentation alongside it. For a comparison article that is the honest finding: integration depth is a question to put to the vendor's quote process, not a feature to assume. uSecure's strengths sit elsewhere — policy acceptance tracking and breach monitoring bundled into one subscription — so if Zapier depth is your deciding criterion, verify it directly with their team before signing.
4. Huntress SAT
Huntress takes a different posture entirely: the fully managed security awareness training product has Huntress researchers running the campaigns, so the 'integration' is Huntress's own reporting — monthly summaries and manager reminders — rather than an automation surface you wire yourself. At $2.08/learner/month from the 50-99 learner band, you are paying for the operation, not the plumbing. Teams that want learner events streaming into their own tooling will find this the most closed of the four.
What to build first
The three highest-value Zaps for an MSP running any of these platforms:
- Campaign completion → PSA ticket. A phishing campaign that ends with a 20% click rate is a work item; let the trigger create the ticket instead of a technician noticing it in a report.
- Course completed → CRM field. Compliance-minded clients ask for evidence at renewal time; syncing completion data as account fields keeps the answer at hand.
- New lead → CRM contact. Gap-assessment leads decay fast; the auto-contact Zap is the cheapest lead-response improvement available.
FAQ
Does Cyber Aware have a native Zapier integration? Yes — a public listing at zapier.com/apps/cyber-aware/integrations with every platform primitive exposed as a trigger or action, nine instant triggers, and a template library for the common MSP flows.
Does KnowBe4 work with Zapier? We could not verify a public KnowBe4 Zapier listing at time of writing. KnowBe4 automates through its REST API (tier-gated to higher plans) and through third-party automation platforms like n8n, which ships a native KnowBe4 node.
What should I automate first? Campaign completion into your PSA. It converts a monthly report nobody reads into a ticket somebody owns.
Is Zapier automation included on every Cyber Aware plan? Cyber Aware treats integrations as platform capability rather than plan-gated add-ons — Zapier triggers, webhooks and the REST API are part of the platform. Confirm specifics on your quote.
When does an API beat Zapier? Volume. Zapier charges per task; a large MSP streaming every learner event daily will hit per-task economics that make a direct webhook or REST integration cheaper and more reliable.
One last thing
Rank these platforms on Zapier and the result is really a ranking on philosophy: Cyber Aware treats automation as a default (every primitive exposed, templates shipped, API as the escape hatch), KnowBe4 treats it as a premium tier, uSecure leaves it to the quote conversation, and Huntress removes the need for it by running the programme for you. Match the philosophy to how your team actually works — and test the integration surface with one real Zap before you commit a client book to any of them.
